Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in La Jolla, California. This contract position requires expertise in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounts, and supporting essential bookkeeping functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with Quick Books and be skilled in handling both accounts payable and receivable processes.

Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.

- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with actual account balances.

- Maintain and organize financial records, ensuring all bookkeeping tasks are completed in a timely manner.

- Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.

- Assist with month-end close procedures to finalize financial statements.

- Utilize Quick Books and Quick Books Online to manage and track financial data.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

- Generate reports and analyze financial data to support decision-making processes.

- Collaborate with team members to improve and streamline bookkeeping procedures. Requirements - Proficiency in Quick Books and Quick Books Online.

- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Experience performing bank reconciliations with precision.

- Familiarity with month-end close procedures and journal entries.

- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
