Staff Accountant

Description

Our client, an innovative leader in the biotech sector, is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking initiatives in a fast-growing organization at the forefront of scientific discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Assist in the preparation of financial statements and monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

+ Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of journal entries

+ Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts

+ Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

+ Support inventory accounting, fixed asset tracking, and related reconciliations

+ Prepare schedules and gather documentation for internal and external audits

+ Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support budgeting and forecasting

+ Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

+ Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 2+ years of accounting experience (biotech or life sciences experience is a plus)

+ Proficient with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle Net Suite, or Microsoft D365)

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

+ Strong analytical and organizational skills

+ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

+ Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
