Overview Of Responsibilities

As the Assistant Produce Manager, you help customers make healthy food choices by providing excellent customer service and by leading one of the busiest teams in our store.

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
• Maintain freshness standards by receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, displaying, and rotation of a complete variety of items
• Lead a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the best customer experience
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Produce team
• Unload and sort store deliveries; operate and maintain produce equipment
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and verify awareness among team members
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a positive team culture

Qualifications

To be an Assistant Produce Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market you must:

• Be at least 18 years old and have a basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures
• Be dependable with the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays
• Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, and strong customer interaction skills
• Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and work in a team
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work areas (tables, floors, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.)
• Adhere to safety, health, weights and measures regulations including COOL, and obtain/maintain a Food Handlers permit
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift/maneuver heavy objects up to 50 lbs. from 4" to 72", for long periods
• Ability to use a pallet jack to move pallets up to 20 feet, requiring up to 85 pounds of force

Pay range

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $29.15 per hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications.
