KCPC Licensed Practical Nurse

A competent Psychiatric Licensed Practical Nurse who practices psychiatric-mental health nursing under supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs general nursing tasks for the holistic care and treatment of patients' medical and psychiatric needs.

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, responsibilities include assisting in assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, care coordination, health teaching, and health promotion for psychiatric and medical healthcare needs of a diverse patient population.

Nurses are expected to engage in mission-driven leadership focused on patient care and quality improvement. All staff must adhere to facility policies and procedures.

Staff members are required to follow time and attendance policies, including mandatory overtime. They may be recalled to duty, held over, or rotated shifts as needed to ensure adequate coverage.

This position is essential and designated for mandatory operations by the Appointing Authority; therefore, staff are not eligible for Adverse Weather Leave.
