How you make a differenceThe Assistant Health Services Administrator is a key team member in the health services department, providing support to the Health Services Administrator in daily operations, including monitoring and evaluating the overall medical program and its activities. This position is responsible for ensuring quality and compliance with medical standards and regulations, as well as assisting in program planning, development and implementation.
Key Responsibilities• Prepares reports as required including financial and operational reports.
• Participates in planning and setting policy and procedure compliance with facility and contractual requirements.
• Initiates and maintains required NCCHC or ACA files.
• Oversees payroll and labor control, and recommends methods of improving efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Maintains communication with facility administration, employees, contract providers and outside agencies.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospital Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Operational experience in correctional health care and delivery preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of administrative and supervisory experience preferred.
- Organizational experience in operations and planning required.
- Experience in managing budgets and analyzing contracts is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
-This is a full-time day shift position.
-Candidate needs to be an active LPN or RN registered in the state of KY.
