Summary

Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and advertising, for organization by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Issue RFQ's and place Purchase Orders for tools, samples, and material, to meet the needs of NPI and Transfer projects.
  • Process Engineering Change Notices
  • Create and manage PPAP cases when required or requested.
  • Maintain SAP data as needed for NPI and Transfer Projects.
  • Document standard cost variances
  • Communicate Standard Cost information to Accounting and update as needed or required.
  • Approve invoice exception payments based on completion of Purchase Order.
  • Participate in Project Meetings when appropriate or as needed.
  • Work with Project Managers, Commodity Managers, Engineering, SQE and Suppliers to ensure Parts are ordered and delivered in a timely fashion and meet quality and price expectations.
  • Update PO information on the Grayhill planning system and notify schedulers, project managers, as well as suppliers of modifications.
  • Determine priorities for supplier deliveries based on project needs and supplier capabilities.
  • Expedite parts and prioritize with suppliers based on project needs
  • Arrange special transportation involving urgent requirements.
  • Provide suppliers with updated project information as appropriate.
  • Assist in reducing expenses by soliciting and sharing supplier recommendations for product improvement.
  • Procure Maintenance, Repair and Operating Supplies through Requisition Conversion as assigned.
  • Supports Procurement team as needed or assigned.
  • Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with Quality Control, users, vendors and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action and/or process RMAs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (B.

    A.) from four‑year college or university
  • Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
