If you are looking to take the next step in your career, The Department of Nursing is seeking a motivated and transformational leader with a passion for neonatalpatients to fill the Professional Development Nurse role supporting the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

- Fulfill a 1.0 FTE; full-time, salaried position
- Support nursing education, competency, and professional development for RNs in the Neonatal ICU including our Neonatal Transport Team
- Act as a change agent and advocate while participating in both unit-based and system-wide improvement work and projects
- Collaborate with great teams: NICU Leadership Teams (Director, Manager, Professional Development Nurse, Quality Improvement Nurse)
- Large group of 40+ Professional Development Nurses
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Master’s degree in Nursing required within 5 years
- RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin upon hire
- 3-4 years of relevant RN experience in NICU
- Skills that will help you be successful in this role include leadership, professionalism, organization, accountability, and collaboration
- Basic Life Support CPR for Health Care Providers Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NPR) and Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers. Ideal candidate will hold Neonatal Nursing Certifications in any of these areas:
Transport, General/Regular NICU, Extremely low Birth Rate, S.T.A.B.L.E or Neonatal Orientate and Education Program (NOEP).
