Assembler

1

An Assembler 1 is responsible for assisting in the assembly of industrial HVAC units. This person should have experience with hand and power tools and the ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch. This position helps with the framing, installation of parts, caulking, and cleaning of units. HVAC Assembler 1’s work under the supervision of a lead or senior assembler to ensure quality and safety.

Job Duties
  • Learn safety procedures and adheres to them strictly.
  • Reach out to safety rep in shop for questions.
  • Goes to Safety Supervisor with issues.
  • Performs basic assembly tasks under close supervision.
  • Caulking, squaring, cleaning, peeling plastics, Jamb Installation, blower canvas install, and proper snip use.
  • Assists in the construction of industrial HVAC units according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Handles tools and equipment with guidance.
  • Power tools such as drills, grinders, sander
  • Responsible for cleaning work areas and maintaining equipment.
  • Learns and follows all quality procedures.
  • Assists higher-level assemblers as required.
  • Develops foundational skills in HVAC construction assembly.
  • Participates actively in on-the-job- training programs.
  • Actively listens to instruction from higher level personnel.
  • Communicates all needs and questions clearly and concisely with leadership.
  • Assists in all other assigned duties.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in carpentry, construction, or assembly of HVAC units preferred.
  • Proficiency using hand and power tools such as drills, saws, and grinders.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform job functions.
