City Brewing Company in La Crosse, WI has an immediate opening for a Utilities Mechanic. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment related to the operation of the Engine Room and Refrigeration Systems.
Duties and Responsibilities- Overall responsibility of the plant refrigeration system.
- Maintain and troubleshoot evaporators, heat exchangers & liquid ammonia transfer pumps, purging system, pump‑out system, circulation pumps, makeup equipment, valves & condensers.
- Maintenance and repair of compressed air systems.
- Monitoring of glycol system.
- Water treatment including chemical testing, RO system operations and de‑aeration system operation and maintenance.
- Boiler system maintenance, including pump/motor replacement & alignment.
- Required involvement in Emergency Response Team.
- HVAC or equivalent degree from a technical school or college or 3 years equivalent experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems and components or boiler operation.
- Must be able to work well with others in a team environment.
- Must possess excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, operate scissor lifts & forklifts.
- Must be able to push, pull, drag and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Able to complete confined space training.
- Successfully pass respirator fit testing.
