About the RoleKwik Trip, Inc. is hiring an IT Desktop Support Intern to help image, configure, and deploy replacement computers across the organization. You’ll get hands‑on experience with Windows imaging, software installation, hardware setup, and IT asset management in a corporate environment, while supporting team members across the company.
What You’ll Do- Image, configure, and deploy replacement computers for team members
- Install and update Windows operating systems and standard software packages
- Assist with IT asset management by tracking and documenting hardware deployments and returns
- Set up and connect monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, and printers
- Perform basic hardware and software troubleshooting on end‑user devices
- Follow documented technical procedures and checklists for accurate, consistent deployments
- Coordinate equipment swaps with end users and provide friendly, professional support
- Work with IT team members to prioritize tasks and meet deployment timelines
- Maintain an organized staging area for imaging, configuring, and storing equipment
- Safely lift and move computer equipment and related hardware (up to 40 lbs.)
- Currently enrolled in an Information Technology, Computer Science, or related degree program
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and imaging concepts
- Foundational knowledge of IT support (PC hardware, software, and basic troubleshooting)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured technical procedures
- Clear, professional communication skills and a customer‑service mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment up to 40 lbs. as needed
- Experience with imaging tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune or SCCM) or similar
- Familiarity with common PC hardware components and basic repair or upgrade tasks
- Previous experience in a help desk, desktop support, or technical support setting (campus, professional, or volunteer)
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple tasks or projects
- Interest in pursuing a career in IT support, desktop support, or systems administration
- 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, daytime hours during the school year
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate class times and school commitments
- 40 hours per week during the summer and winter breaks
