Overview

American Cruise Lines, the largest U.S. cruise company, is hiring for the 2026 season:
Dishwashers in the shipboard galley for 28 weeks. This is a temporary position with duties in sanitation and guest service during events.

• Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the galley including cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas.
• Receive and carry food deliveries which require lifting boxes up to 50 lbs.
• Ensure that the commercial dishwasher is operating properly and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to management.
• Creating genuine rapport with our guests and catering to all galley requests in an efficient manner.
• As part of routine duties, Dishwashers may be required to perform other functions, such as greeting guests upon embarkation, and providing assistance during special events including afternoon teas and snacks and participate in evening entertainment.

• Pay – Wages range from $1,000 to $1,400 per week with additional bonuses. Major living expenses aboard are covered, offering an opportunity to save.
• Hospitality Experience – Introductory position to the cruise industry and a foundation for a hospitality career.
• Covered Expenses – Travel to and from your assigned vessel, room and board, uniforms, and paid training.
• Travel the Country – Over 50 itineraries across 35 states.
• Crew Connections – Build memories and relationships with crew and guests.

• At least eighteen (18) years of age and an American citizen or Green Card holder.
• Willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks.
• Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking.
• Federal law requires pre-employment drug testing for shipboard employees; no marijuana or controlled substances. Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited.
• Grooming standards apply (limitations on tattoos and piercings). This is a temporary 28-week position. Opportunities to apply for management are not guaranteed.
