Emplify Health by Gundersen invites a Patient Safety Specialist into the Quality and Patient Safety department.
What You Will Do- Support and facilitate ongoing patient safety and safetyculture performance improvement activities
- Partner closely with clinical and operational leaders to promote high reliability, clinical excellence, and zero preventable patient harm
- Review, analyze, and trend safety events to identify opportunities for improvement
- Lead and support root cause analyses and other investigative processes
- Codesign safety initiatives to enhance system level patient safety performance
- Promote a nonpunitive culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Support patient safety recognition programs and communication initiatives
- Serve as a resource and educator for departments on patient safety principles and best practices

- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or allied health field
- Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
