Mechanical Design Instructor

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Instructors are responsible for preparing and providing quality curriculum, instruction, and assessment that leads to student success. Recognizing the diverse backgrounds of students, instructors foster student growth and prepare them for success in the workplace and/or a pathway to further education. This position works to promote social justice within the division and the larger academic institution. Instruction will be in an in-person and blended format teaching terms would be:
Fall/Spring

• Minimum Education and Occupational
  
  Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree with 2 years (4,000 hours) verifiable related industry experience OR Associate Degree in Mechanical Design or Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field with 5 years experience, PLUS a willingness to obtain a BS degree within 5 years. (Tuition assistance available)
• Demonstrated expertise in CAD/CAE 2D and 3D Design Knowledge of and proficiency in, manufacturing and engineering materials, statics and strengths of materials, mechanisms and dynamic, machine elements utilized in mechanical design and rapid prototyping.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Knowledge in Solidworks, Autocad, Iventor,
  Creo-Parametric And Other Related Programs. Experience With GD&T Experience utilizing testing equipment and CMM's Prior teaching experience.
• Required Certification/Licenses:
  Eligible for/or meets WTCS Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements.
