Summary
Manufacturing Engineering Co‑Op (Lacrosse, WI) – On‑Site. The role is designed to give college students challenging assignments, leadership training and exposure to senior leaders. The Co‑op will work on projects including waste elimination, standard work creation, Lean manufacturing, value stream studies, capital equipment requests, process automation, data analysis, risk assessments and energy audits.
ResponsibilitiesThe Manufacturing Engineer Co‑Op will:
- Support waste elimination projects across manufacturing areas.
- Create and update standard work for operations.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
- Conduct industrial engineering studies and value stream capability analysis.
- Prepare capital equipment expense requests.
- Assist with manufacturing process automation and system integration.
- Analyze manufacturing and warehouse data.
- Perform process risk assessments for Quality, Ergonomics, and Safety.
- Conduct energy audits.
- Currently pursuing an MS/MA or BS/BA in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Overall GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Full‑time availability for 6‑8 consecutive months (January‑August).
- Demonstrated leadership experience (e.g., club officer, team captain, resident advisor, or project leadership).
- Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly.
- Relocation reimbursement of $3,500.
Base pay range (US national averages) – actual pay may vary based on seniority, merit and location. Total compensation includes commission/incentive plan.
