As a Total Store Sanitation Specialist, you will maintain department fixtures and equipment cleanliness, perform total store sanitation tasks to keep the store clean and safe, and may eventually become an owner in the company.

• Maintain department cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization
• Deep clean and disinfect processing areas and departments, including equipment, fixtures, coolers, floors, and drains
• Maintain proper documentation and certification of chemical handling and sanitation verification functions
• Properly use chemicals and cleaning tools
• Use H‑E‑B chemical program and correctly organize and maintain stock in the maintenance room
• Apply basic knowledge of product, product handling, and food preparation processes
• Apply basic knowledge of assembly and use of department equipment for sanitation purposes
• Apply knowledge of different types of insects or rodents and placement of pest control traps
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are achieved by following SOPs
• Communicate maintenance needs, process improvements, problems, or solutions to Store Leaders

• 1+ years of experience in maintenance or sanitation

• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines, product handling, and pest control
• Customer‑service orientation

• Maintain department cleanliness and safety
• Deep clean and disinfect processing areas, equipment, fixtures, coolers, floors, and drains
• Document and certify chemical handling and sanitation verification
• Use chemicals and cleaning tools correctly
• Maintain chemical program inventory
• Follow SOPs for food safety and sanitation
• Communicate needs to Store Leaders

• Assist customers with product location
• Attend to customer needs while performing sanitation duties
• Perform all duties of Total Store Sanitation Rep when needed

• Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in maintenance or sanitation
• Completion of Company Orientation, In‑store orientation, Basics of Safety, Annual Food Handler, and basic HAZMAT/ Chemical Safety certifications upon hire

• Constantly reach at waist and grasp
• Constantly exposed to wet conditions
• Frequently stand, walk, reach at shoulder or knee, bend, push/pull with arms
• Frequently exposed to cold conditions
• Occasionally reach overhead, lower to floor, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, crawl, climb stairs or ladders, pivot or twist, pinch, perform fine motor movements
• Occasionally exposed to hot ambient temperatures and loud noise
• Demonstrate ability to lift and manage 50 lbs or more
• Work safely within personal lifting limits
