Overview
This is a full-time Monday‑Friday 8:30am‑5pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays. The position can be a Level 1, Level 2, or Senior level based on candidate experience.

Whatdoes the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) do?
Under general supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. The RN must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care, participate in quality initiatives, and support compliance with the US Oncology Compliance Program, Code of Ethics, and Business Standards.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess patient health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and educational materials.
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
- Manage pharmacy medication refill requests and record information in the patient chart.
- Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests, or procedures, referrals, and future appointments.
- Triage patient phone calls and document relevant information in the patient chart.
- Facilitate communication between patients/families and interdisciplinary team, coordinating services related to patient care.
- Assist patients in locating community resources.
- Act as a resource for LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
Level 1:
- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred).
- RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 0‑3 years nursing experience, preferably at least one year in oncology.
Level 2 (in addition to Level 1 requirements):
- 3‑5 years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology.
Level Senior (in addition to Level 1 and 2 requirements):
- Five years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology.
The work environment may involve exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Physical RequirementsRequires full range of motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, and standing/walking for extensive periods. Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
