About the Vascular Surgeon PositionThe department seeks a full‑time vascular surgeon to join the Division of Vascular Surgery at Ascension Seton Hays in Kyle, Texas. Candidates must be board‑certified (or eligible) in vascular surgery and have completed an accredited fellowship or residency. The role offers the chance to build a unique practice with strong partner support.
Essential Functions- Grow the vascular surgery practice at a busy suburban Level II trauma hospital.
- Deliver high‑quality clinical care, participate in on‑call coverage, staff outpatient clinics, and manage perioperative patients.
- Actively contribute to the education of medical students and general surgery residents.
- Build and strengthen partnerships with referring physicians, hospitals, and ancillary care providers in Austin and Central Texas.
- Assist in developing data and evaluation infrastructure to assess clinical quality metrics and patient outcomes.
- Participate fully in departmental activities and comply with all departmental policies.

Qualifications- Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
- Current Board certification (or eligibility) in Vascular Surgery.
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment.
- Outstanding clinical teaching skills.
- Innovative self‑starter with a commitment to excellence.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Eligible for appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank in Dell Medical School at UT Austin.
Experience delivering care through a multidisciplinary team and an interest in driving scientific inquiry and clinical/translational research.
