Position: SENIOR OBSTETRICIAN/GYNECOLOGIST (OB/GYN)
An OB/GYN job includes managing obstetrics (pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum) and gynecology (female reproductive health) through diagnosis, treatment, surgery, and patient counseling. Key duties involve providing prenatal and postpartum care, performing exams and screenings like Pap tests, diagnosing and treating gynecological disorders, and conducting procedures and surgeries related to women's health. Collaboration with other medical professionals and keeping up with the latest medical advancements are also essential parts of the role.

Core responsibilities:

Patient Care:  Overseeing and managing the clinical care of obstetric and gynecological patients throughout all stages of their reproductive health.
Diagnosis and Treatment:  Diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the female reproductive organs, breasts, and sex hormones.
Surgery:  Performing surgical procedures, including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and the removal of cysts or fibroids.
Pregnancy Management:  Providing prenatal care, monitoring fetal growth, managing labor and delivery, and offering postpartum care.
Preventive Care:  Performing routine check-ups, pelvic and breast exams, Pap tests, and screenings for gynecological cancers and STIs.
Patient

Education:

Counseling patients on women's health issues, disease prevention, family planning, and reproductive health.

Collaboration:

Working with other medical specialists to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
Medical Documentation:  Recording patient histories and maintaining accurate medical records.
Professional Development:  Staying current with new medical practices and contributing to research in women's health.

Required skills and qualifications:

Doctor of Medicine (MD)
Completion of an OB-GYN residency
Board certification and a state license
Expert diagnostic and surgical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate and trustworthy demeanor
