- As Senior Process Engineer, you actively shape the industrialization of our hydrometallurgical battery recycling plant focusing on material recovery and refining while leading the process design and equipment specification to ensure a robust and efficient plant layout.
- You take full ownership of the mass and energy balance, driving process efficiency and cost optimization throughout the project lifecycle.
- You lead the development, quality assurance, and maintenance of all Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- You conduct comprehensive risk analyses (HAZOP, FMEA) and ensure strict compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- You provide technical leadership and guidance to a multidisciplinary engineering team, safeguarding the industrialization process in hydrometallurgy.
- You prepare tender documents, manage the awarding process, and lead detailed technical discussions with suppliers to secure an optimal selection process.
- You support the successful plant construction, smooth commissioning, and targeted production ramp-up.

Your profile
- You hold a degree and/or PhD in process engineering, metallurgy, material sciences, chemistry, or a related field - ideally combined with strong expertise in hydrometallurgy.
- You bring relevant industry experience in engineering, plant specification, tendering as well as successful commissioning and operation of industrial projects (>8 years).
- You have proven experience in both technical and disciplinary leadership of engineering teams.
- You possess solid project management skills, including effective control of time, cost, and resources.
- You are motivated to develop and scale up processes from pilot to industrial scale with a hands-on approach.
- You demonstrate a high sense of responsibility, commitment, and flexibility to achieve project goals.
- You work in a thorough, analytical, and structured way, with excellent cross-checking and quality assurance abilities.
- You are fluent in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in German is advantageous and may support your future career growth.
