Senior Network Engineer; M​/W​/D - System Integrator

An experienced Senior Network Engineer is needed to design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performance network infrastructures across enterprise environments.

This is a key role within a highly skilled engineering team, responsible for building and securing complex network environments for enterprise clients. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, and ideally Huawei networking equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures for internal and client environments.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, wireless).
• Deploy and optimize Palo Alto firewalls and security solutions (NGFWs, Panorama, VPNs, etc.).
• Work with Huawei networking gear (preferred), especially in multi-vendor environments.
• Perform advanced diagnostics, root cause analysis, and incident resolution for network issues.
• Lead or support network transformation, migration, and upgrade projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and security teams to ensure smooth delivery.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and runbooks.

Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in Cisco networking (CCNP-level knowledge or certification preferred).
• Proven experience with Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, and network security best practices.
• Exposure to Huawei routers/switches is a strong advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of Layer 2/3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, etc.).
• Fluent in German and English (both written and verbal).
