ETL - SSIS Developer – Senior

We're looking for Senior Level Consultants with expertise in ETL - SSIS to join the EA group of our GDS consulting Team. This role demands a highly technical, extremely hands-on Data Warehouse Modelling consultant who will work closely with our EY Partners and external clients to develop new business as well as drive other initiatives on different business needs. The ideal candidate must have a good understanding of the value of data warehouse and ETL and proven experience in delivering solutions to different lines of business and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Working with the client team, perform development and provide L3 support to database integrations and data warehouse using SQL Server, SSIS, Azure, 3rd party tools, etc.
Good research, analysis, and problem-solving skills
Ability to estimate work items in a systemic manner
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (including agile development methodology)
Hands on development and maintenance of the SQL based systems and various associated components for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
Hands on development and maintenance of integrations with various (including bespoke) Financial (Applications and Management Information Systems), Underwriting and Claims Management Systems and other systems based on business requirements.
Ensure data quality and accuracy by implementing business and technical reconciliations via scripts, profiling and data analysis; analyse and create data mappings.
Develop and support objects and code for data profiling, extraction, load and updates.
Provide and maintain documentation for all developed objects and processes, in strict timelines.
Integration testing of deliverables.
Develop and run test scripts to ensure the quality of code and integrity.
Use source code control repository (using VSTS, GIT) – preferred GIT
Following data / integration design patterns and architecture as prescribed by the Architects. Come up with suggestions and recommendations where required

Skills And Attributes For Success

Deliver large/medium DWH programmes, demonstrate expert core consulting skills and advanced level of SQL, PL/SQL, SSIS, SSAS knowledge and industry expertise to support delivery to clients
Demonstrate management and an ability to lead projects or teams individually
Experience in team management, communication, and presentation.

To qualify for the role, you must have

Minimum of 3 - 7 years of ETL development on SQL Integration Projects using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server database objects
Experience in implementing Type 2 Dimension Data models and data warehouse ETL techniques for historical data
Experience in development of complex / enterprise data warehouse implemented over standard RDBMS (using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server database objects)
Ability to understand/re-write nested complex SQL script

Experience of analysis and resolution of data quality and integration issues

Experience of Database queries (SQL) and performance tuning
Experience in providing and maintaining technical documentation, specifically Data Mapping and Low Level / ETL Design Documentation

Experience of working both independently and collaboratively with various teams and global stakeholders (Business Analysts/Architects/Support/Business) in an agile approach while working on projects or data quality issues

Experience of upgrading/converting SQL based system to new versions (SQL Code and Objects) – preferable
Microsoft Azure - PaaS fundamental knowledge - preferable
Insurance Domain Experience – nice to have.
