Role summary
We are hiring for our Client a SAP ABAP professionals across three experience bands to support and lead development activities across SAP ECC and S/4

HANA landscapes. The roles require strong technical expertise in classical and modern ABAP, exposure to SAP functional integrations (FICO, MM, SD), and the ability to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. Senior roles will additionally lead design decisions, mentor teams, and interface with stakeholders.

Common responsibilities (all levels)

• Design, develop, test, and deploy SAP ABAP solutions aligned to business requirements.

• Build and enhance RICEFW objects:
Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.

• Develop and optimize ALV reports, Smart Forms, SAPscript, Adobe Forms, and interfaces (IDoc, RFC, BAPI).
• Collaborate with functional consultants (FICO, MM, SD) to translate functional specs into technical solutions.

• Perform unit testing, code reviews, performance tuning, and defect resolution.

• Support data migration and conversion activities (LSMW, BDC, custom programs).

• Ensure adherence to development standards, documentation, and transport management processes.

• Provide production support and participate in root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.

Role-wise expectations
A. SAP ABAP Lead / Architect (15+ years) — 1 position
Additional responsibilities

• Own technical architecture and design decisions for ABAP developments.

• Lead S/4

HANA technical transformations (custom code remediation, SPAM/SPAUs).

• Drive adoption of modern ABAP: ABAP OO, CDS Views, AMDP, OData services.

• Mentor and guide ABAP teams; perform in-depth code reviews and quality audits.

• Coordinate with project managers and business stakeholders on estimations, risks, and delivery plans.

• Support performance optimization and scalability initiatives.

Required experience

• 15+ years of SAP ABAP experience with multiple end-to-end implementations.

• Strong experience in S/4

HANA ABAP and ECC-to-S/4

HANA migrations.

• Expertise in integration frameworks and large-volume data handling.

B. SAP ABAP Senior Consultant (10 years) — 1 position
Additional responsibilities

• Lead complex ABAP developments independently.

• Design and build interfaces and enhancements with minimal supervision.

• Support UAT, cutover, and hypercare phases.

• Guide junior developers and ensure delivery quality.

R equired experience

• 10 years of hands-on ABAP development experience.

• Strong command of ABAP OO, enhancements (BAdI, User Exits), and forms.

• Exposure to S/4

HANA ABAP preferred.

C. SAP ABAP Consultant (8 years) — 1 position
Additional responsibilities

• Deliver standard reports, enhancements, and interfaces as per specifications.

• Support testing cycles and production issue resolution.

• Work closely with senior team members for design and troubleshooting.

Required experience

• 8 years of ABAP development experience.

• Strong fundamentals in classical ABAP, reports, forms, and data dictionary.

• Willingness to upskill on S/4

HANA and modern ABAP concepts.

Must-have skills (across roles)

• Strong proficiency in ABAP / ABAP OO.

• Experience with RICEFW, enhancements (BAdI, exits), and forms.

• Integration knowledge with SAP functional modules (FICO, MM, SD).

• Experience in performance tuning and debugging.

• Good documentation and communication skills.

Desired / differentiating skills

• S/4

HANA ABAP, CDS Views, AMDP, OData, Fiori backend exposure.

• SAP ABAP or S/4

HANA technical certifications.

• Experience with SAP Workflow, PI/PO or CPI integrations.

• Prior experience in consulting or large enterprise ERP environments.
