Role:
SVF Entertainment is looking to hire a  Content IP & Rights Acquisition professional  with a strong understanding of  production houses, film producers, and music labels across East India . The role will focus on  identifying, acquiring, and managing Intellectual Property (IP) rights  across films, music albums, and related content.
The candidate will be responsible for  building relationships with production houses, tracking content ownership, maintaining master data of assets, and supporting acquisition strategy  for SVF’s film, music, and digital platforms.
This role requires someone who is  well-networked in the regional entertainment ecosystem, detail-oriented with data management, and comfortable working both on-ground and in office operations .

Key Responsibilities:

IP Identification & Acquisition
Identify and track  films, music albums, and catalogues available for acquisition  across East India (primarily Bengali, Assamese, and Odia markets).
Build and maintain relationships with  production houses, producers, music labels, and catalog owners .
Assist in  negotiating and acquiring IP rights  including digital, satellite, music, and syndication rights.
Conduct  due diligence on ownership and rights structures  before acquisition.
Market Intelligence
Track  new film releases, upcoming productions, and catalog ownership  across the regional industry.
Maintain a database of  production houses, music labels, producers, and rights holders .
Provide insights on  content libraries that could be strategic acquisition targets .
Master Data & Rights Management
Maintain and regularly update  master databases of films, music albums, and related IP assets .
Track  rights status, ownership, term, and exploitation windows .
Coordinate with  legal, digital, and distribution teams  for accurate metadata and rights tracking.
Field Outreach
Travel across  West Bengal and other East Indian markets  to meet producers, production houses, and rights holders.
Source  legacy catalogues and older film/music libraries  for potential acquisition.
Represent SVF in industry meetings and relationship-building initiatives.
Internal Coordination
Work closely with  acquisitions, legal, digital distribution, and operations teams .
Support preparation of  acquisition proposals and rights summaries  for management review.

Candidate Profile:

Experience:

3–7 years in film, music, or content rights acquisition / production ecosystem.
Strong understanding of  content ownership structures and IP rights (film, music, digital rights) .
Good network with  production houses and producers in East India .
Familiarity with  regional entertainment industries (Bengali preferred; Assamese/Odia a plus) .
Comfortable managing  large datasets, Excel-based master sheets, and metadata tracking .
Willingness to  travel frequently and engage with industry stakeholders .
