Academic Supervisor

Position Overview
The Academic Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing academic delivery, ensuring curriculum alignment with CBSE norms, and maintaining high standards of teaching–learning practices. The role focuses on academic monitoring, teacher mentoring, and continuous improvement of instructional quality, particularly in English and related interdisciplinary areas.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in English.
B.Ed. (Mandatory).
Minimum 5–8 years of teaching experience in CBSE schools.
Prior Experience As Academic Supervisor / Academic Coordinator Preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Monitoring & Quality Assurance
Monitor classroom teaching, lesson plans, and academic documentation to ensure compliance with CBSE guidelines.
Ensure effective implementation of curriculum, learning outcomes, and assessment frameworks.
Review and standardize lesson plans, worksheets, question papers, and assessments.
Track academic progress through regular reviews, observations, and data analysis.
English Department Oversight
Provide subject leadership and academic support for English across grade levels.
Guide teachers on pedagogy, lesson structuring, assessment rubrics, and language development strategies.
Ensure age-appropriate reading, writing, grammar, and communication skill development.
Teacher Mentoring & Capacity Building
Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive, actionable feedback.
Identify training needs and organize in-house workshops and demo sessions.
Support newly appointed teachers with academic orientation and mentoring.
Promote innovative teaching practices, experiential learning, and use of ICT tools.
Curriculum Planning & Implementation
Support academic planning, timetables, and annual academic calendars.
Assist in smooth execution of examinations, assessments, and result analysis.
Ensure integration of competency-based education and NEP-aligned practices.
Student Performance & Discipline
Monitor student academic performance and recommend intervention strategies.
Support remedial programs, enrichment activities, and exam preparedness.
Assist in maintaining discipline and a positive learning environment.
Parent & Stakeholder Coordination
Support parent–teacher meetings and academic orientations.
Address academic queries from parents in coordination with school leadership.
Coordinate with principals, coordinators, and management on academic matters.
Required Qualifications
