Environmental Technician

MPS Group, Inc is seeking an Environmental Technician to join our team in Kokomo, IN
. This individual assists with all onsite activities at client location in relation to the storage, transportation and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes and other related services following federal, state and local regulations.

Shift: 1st
Schedule: Monday
- Friday 7:00 a.m.

- 3:30 p.m.

• Comply with MPS Group’s management system policies and procedures.
• Receive hazardous waste, universal waste and non-hazardous waste from main production site to storage area.
• Track waste storage containers in logbook from receiving until shipment.
• Assist with wastewater treatment coverage as necessary.
• Conduct regulatory inspections applicable to the facility.
• Complete all other assignments made by GMCH management.
• Help with waste sampling.
• Assist with the upkeep of the ISO
  14001 EMS.
• Assist with SPCC and SWPP plan inspections.
• Assist with scrap metal, wood, plastic, paper, and cardboard activities, including but not limited to collection, segregation, optimization, shipping, and reporting.
• Participate in compliance inspections.
• Serves as liaison between client and vendors in relation to service issues.
• Maintains pre-established standards for safety and environmental issues.

• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification.
• Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) certification.
