POSITION TITLE:

Occupational Therapist with First Steps

DIVISION:

Regional First Steps Manager

STATUS:
Contract Full and Part-Time

PURPOSE:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to First Steps patients.

• Conduct occupational therapy assessments and evaluations.
• Schedule and provide individual, group and homebound therapy sessions.
• Maintain accurate records and data tracking of patient treatments.
• Serve as a positive influence through behaviors, attitudes, and actions.
• Maintain great communication and professional relationships with clients, family members, and co-workers.
• Good communicator, dependable, and compassionate.

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Must be a currently licensed occupational therapist and registered with the American Occupational Therapy Association and certified by the Indiana Occupational Therapy Committee.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
• Maintain a valid Indiana driver’s license, insurance on personal vehicle (minimum of PLPD with medical liability coverage), and maintain insurability as defined by the agency liability insurance carrier.
