Job PurposeBorg Warner Power Drive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an Engineering Intern, Electrical Design in our Summer Internship Program.
The Engineering Intern, Electrical Design will assist with the design and development of electronic control units (ECU) for the automotive market. These ECUs control combustion engines, transmissions, drive trains, battery monitors, and electric motors for commercial and passenger vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the engineering design team with controller development activities including:
- Analysing electronic circuits to verify they comply with the controller’s requirements
- Testing the controller to verify its parameters comply with the analysis
- Collecting and analysing data
- Supporting the validation lab with test set-ups
- Student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 of 4.0 scale or B average, upon initial hire date
- Some experience working with basic lab equipment; digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, etc
- Experience with MS Office
- Some experience with CAD tools such as Mentor Graphics or OrCAD
- Some experience with analysis tools such as Mathcad and/or Spice
- Desire to work in a lab environment

Salary Range$16.00 - $27.00 / hour
