Senior EMC Test Validation Engineer

TITLE: Senior EMC Test Validation Engineer

• Ensure product samples are properly tested and validated to identify potential susceptibility and interference of other devices in the field.
• Work closely with development engineers, EMC test technicians, and a validation engineer in the development and execution of EMC testing.
• Work with cross-functional teams and various customers to understand the product and ensure it exceeds customer performance and EMC requirements.
• Review customer test specifications and lead discussions with the product development team to develop a comprehensive EMC test plan.
• Identify / develop required EMC testing equipment to meet test requirements.
• Oversee test execution to guarantee compliance to test criteria and per the lab’s ISO 17025 accreditation.
• Provide EMC technical support to the product development team.
• Assist in troubleshooting deviations discovered during testing.
• Analyze test data to ensure testing was executed properly and meets acceptance criteria.
• Identify potential cost savings and improvements.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and comprehensive EMC test reports.
• Mentor current and new personnel.
• Drive continuous improvement in the lab that leads to an increase in productivity and quality.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Automotive Engineering and 36 months of experience in an EMC laboratory test environment.
• Experience working in a high voltage (HV) testing environment.
• Experience working with ISO 17025 EMC laboratory requirements.
• Experience with automotive EMC test specifications.
