Job PurposeBorg Warner Power Drive Systems is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Intern in our Summer Internship Program.
The FEA Intern will support development of analysis processes and standards, perform analysis tasks, and summarize results. This will involve a variety of applications, such as use of a general Finite Elements code, analysis, research, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate standards and process gaps for structural analysis of electric drive designs
- Develop new processes and methods for structural analysis
- Document processes and work instructions in a standard format
- Use FEA and other software tools to analyze components
- Investigate advanced features of existing software tools to improve analysis processes
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or a graduate from an accredited college
- GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or B average, upon initial hire date
- Undergraduate student, Junior/Senior level, majoring in Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering preferred
- Desire to work in the automotive industry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively
- Analytical, technical, and statistical skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Good knowledge base of engineering theories

Salary Range$16.00 - $27.00 / hour
