Essential Functions
Maintains working climate by installing, repairing, and servicing refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Restores and repairs faulty or inoperative refrigeration and HVAC systems and associated equipment. Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems inside and outside of equipment. Uses working knowledge to replace parts of the system of a refrigeration or HVAC unit. Inspects refrigeration and HVAC systems and equipment. Welds and solder copper and steel tubing.
Complies with local, state, and federal codes and standards. Maintains refrigeration and HVAC maintenance by ensuring required parts and equipment are available. Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on all HVAC and refrigeration equipment to include filter changes and regular cleaning.
- Maintains equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning and maintaining gasoline related equipment; provides preventive maintenance; tests leak detectors and product lines.
- Facilitates repairs by contacting service vendors for materials.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains cash registers, money order machines and safes by troubleshooting repairs and reprogramming equipment.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
- Maintains working climate by installing, repairing and servicing heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems.
- Keeps equipment, systems and building ready for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restores and repairs faulty or inoperative HVAC systems and associated equipment; repairs and replaces doors, plumbing and tiles; painting; recommending changes and new HVAC installations.
- Maintains gas pumps by changing nozzles, hoses, splash guards, and filters and display boards.
- Ensures operation of equipment by diagnosing, repairing and maintaining equipment such as walk-in coolers, novelty freezers, refrigerators and fountains.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in the maintenance field.
- Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment, work in confined spaces, use hand/electric cart, power and hand tools, be able to crouch and/or crawl, use a ladder, and lift up to 80 lbs.
- Able to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple, changing priorities and work independently in a high‑priority, confidential, demanding business environment.
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Operate computer keyboard and mouse for data entry.
- View computer monitor.
- Hear and speak via telephone.
- Reach forward and/or overhead.
- Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
