Position: Bakery Worker 05

Pay: $20.85 per hour

Location: Kodiak, AK

Opening Date: 20 January 2026

Work Schedule: Part-Time (20–29 hrs per week)

Pay Plan/Series/Pay Band: NA-7402-05

Responsibilities
  • Prepares baked items assigned by the Facility Manager.
  • Follows daily baking schedule and weighs and measures dry and wet ingredients.
  • Familiar with standard operating procedures for baking equipment such as digital/analog scales, standing orbital mixer, pizza dough mixer, proof box, convection ovens, pizza ovens, and crust press.
  • Performs Barista duties as needed and trains other staff members.
  • Collaborates with management to determine direction for the bakery department.
  • Produces fresh pizza dough, muffins, cookies, cinnamon rolls and other baked goods for daily sales.
  • Generates weekly orders for bakery items and submits to the Facility Manager.
  • Restocks prep and cooking area supplies.
  • Tracks day‑old bakery items and completes waste log when appropriate.
  • Cleans cooking areas and service equipment including pots, pans, mixers, ovens, and proof boxes.
  • Mops floors and vacuums as necessary.
  • Serves drinks and food, clears tables and prepares fruit and vegetables for cooking and serving by washing, peeling, scraping and dicing.
  • Prepares sub sandwiches from cut meats and prepares salads.
  • Portion out food by placing uniform amounts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications
  • Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English.
  • Understand baking operation procedures including measuring and equipment operation.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions such as menus, recipes, etc.
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs or greater and carry for a reasonable distance.
  • The ability to climb, bend, lift, push and pull, walk and stand as required to complete tasks for long periods of time.
  • Preferred:
    One (1) year general experience working with food service, preferably with baking experience.
