Overview
The Position
This position is located in the Kodiak ILC office and requires a unique and varied set of skills. The person we hire will be responsible for providing Independent Living Services, and specific ADRC and DDRC services to individuals living in Kodiak and the surrounding islands. The Kodiak office employs 2 positions and the Multi-program Advocate will be a part of this team and work with other team members located in the Homer, Seward, and Central office.
ILC staff will provide training as needed. The successful candidate should demonstrate the following abilities: well organized, ability to multi-task, flexibility to work independently and as part of a team, exceptional people skills, including clear and respectful communication, professionalism, sense of humor and passion for ILCs work. Applicants must have a minimum of three years experience working in the human services arena and be proficient with computers using Microsoft Office Suite, be self-motivated, energetic, and hardworking and understand or be willing to learn Independent Living Philosophy.
Must be able to travel within the ILC service areas and some occasional longer distance travel.
This position is a 32+ hour/week job. Wage $25.00 hourly, DOE. Benefits include access to Health Reimbursement Account, 401K, 11 paid holidays and personal leave. Priority will be given to qualified individuals with a disability.
