Executive - Mechanical Engineering - Ports & Terminals - Cochin

1.Execution of Routine / Preventive / Breakdown maintenance of port equipment.
2.Routine inspections on equipments and corrective actions thereafter.
3.Attend to breakdowns and fault diagnosis and correction on equipments.
4.Reporting of jobs after completion.
5.Undertake any specific task / responsibility assigned by Sr. Executives.
6.Assist the Asst Manager/Sr. Executives in managing the shift when required.
7.Ensure that the company health, safety & environment policy and procedures are observed.
8.Report on any unsafe conditions in the Terminal or area of work.
9.Contribute to the continuous improvement process and to the meeting of relevant objectives and targets.
10.Observe the provisions of IGT's management system.
11.House keeping in work place/Equipment
the absence of Asst Manager/Sr. Executive, take the responsibility of Asst Manager/Sr. Executive when informed by higher authorities
13.Ensure, recording of the jobs, manpower and equipment status in the shift logbook. Verify job reports submitted by the shift staff
14.Ensure compliance and implement:
.OH&S Rules and Regulations.
.Hazard and Risk Management
.Accident Reports
.IGT's Standard Operating Procedures.
.Work permits
Qualification &

Experience:

a)
BE/B. Tech in Mechanical or Diploma in Mechanical or ITI with relevant experience.
b)
In case of BE/B.Tech, at least 4 years relevant experience in heavy lift equipments / container handling equipments, in case of Diploma holders, at least 7 years of relevant experience. In case of ITI, at least 10 years of relevant experience.
