Position: Sr QA Engineer - Selenium (6+ years)
Senior QA Engineer - 6+ years - Kochi - Hybrid

Role Overview
Senior QA Engineer  with strong experience in  manual testing and automation testing using Java Selenium . The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of the  Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) , along with hands-on experience in  API testing, database testing (SQL), and mobile testing . Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to identify test scenarios.
Design, develop, and execute  manual test cases  for web, mobile, and API applications.
Develop and maintain  automation test scripts using Java Selenium .
Perform  API testing  using tools such as Postman/Rest Assured.
Validate data integrity through  database testing using SQL queries .
Execute  mobile application testing  (Android/iOS – functional and regression).
Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
Participate in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices.
Provide clear and timely test status reports and quality metrics.

Required Skills & Experience

6+ years  of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
Strong hands-on experience in  manual testing .
Experience in  automation testing using Java and Selenium .
Good understanding of  SDLC and Agile methodologies .
Hands-on experience in  API testing .
Strong knowledge of  database testing using SQL .
Experience in  mobile testing  (native or hybrid apps).
Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
Excellent communication skills  (verbal and written).
Strong  problem-solving and analytical skills .
