Primary Objective:
The primary objective of a CDL Driver is to safely and efficiently operate commercial vehicles to transport passengers, goods, or materials while complying with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. This role ensures timely and reliable transportation services, maintains vehicle safety and cleanliness, and delivers exceptional customer service. CDL Drivers are responsible for adhering to schedules, handling cargo or passenger needs professionally, and contributing to the overall success of the transportation operation.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safe and Efficient Transportation: Operate shuttles or commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, following all traffic laws, conduct regular inspections, report issues, and adjust routes as needed to maintain timely service.
  • Passenger Assistance and Customer Service: Provide a welcoming experience by assisting passengers with boarding, luggage, and mobility needs, and address concerns professionally to ensure a safe and positive travel experience.
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Safety Compliance: Conduct daily vehicle inspections, maintain a clean and safe vehicle, and report issues promptly. Ensure compliance with company safety policies, DOT regulations, and CDL standards.
  • Communication and Coordination: Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, staff, and management, follow real-time update protocols, and collaborate with teams to deliver seamless transportation services. May be required to use a personal cell phone for work purposes.
  • Customer Service and Teamwork: Handle challenging situations with professionalism, resolve problems promptly, and support a positive team environment.
  • Attendance and Professionalism: Maintain regular attendance, adhere to PMC standards, arrive on time, in full uniform, and properly groomed before clocking in.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Support evolving business needs by completing other tasks, attending required meetings and training, and maintaining schedule flexibility.
Qualifications
  • Education/

    Experience:

    High school diploma or GED required. Customer service experience preferred; experience in parking, hospitality, or related fields is beneficial.
  • Licensing: At least 25 years old with a valid Class C CDL with a Passenger (P) endorsement if applicable. Minimum of 1 year of shuttle driving or transportation experience required.
  • Compliance: Clean driving record; ability to pass MVR check, background screening, and DOT physical examination (if applicable).
Class C CDL Specifications and Requirements
  • A Class C license with a Passenger (P) endorsement is required for operating vehicles such as passenger vans, minivans, small buses (capacity 16 to 23 passengers).
  • Current DOT medical certification and compliance with drug screening requirements.
  • Ability to pass motor vehicle record (MVR) and background screening requirements.
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in shuttle or bus operations.
  • Ability to drive various vehicles, including golf carts, shuttles, and passenger vans, safely and efficiently.
