We are looking for a UI Front End Developer in Knoxville, TN for a 12-month contract.

Description:

The candidate must demonstrate a proven track record of designing and writing excellent code and is encouraged to bring code samples for discussion.
The candidate should have an attitude of continuous learning. An ideal candidate will have experience with high-performance, high-scale web applications, test-driven development, and web concepts such as JSON, HTTP, HTML, CSS3, and REST.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the UI development for a scrum team

• Contribute to the overall software development lifecycle including requirements gathering/analysis, design, development technologies, release/version control, testing, and deployment

• Perform application testing of components, modifications, and overall systems

• Assist in task planning, estimation, and scheduling

• Review the work of peers on project teams

• Work closely with team members and other teams to ensure UX standards and guidelines are followed

• Mentor junior developers

Education:

College degree in a technical or design field preferred or equivalent experience.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of front-end development experience; knowledge of JavaScript and frameworks (Bootstrap, Backbone.js, Ember.js, Angular.js).
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Groovy and Python.
Understanding of web applications.

Experience with Agile methodologies, especially Scrum and XP.

Experience with continuous integration, delivery, and TDD.

Experience with SOA such as REST and Web Services.

Experience with JavaScript and UI frameworks like Angular

JS.

Experience with unit testing JavaScript using frameworks like Jasmine.
