Position: Carpet Installers - 1099 Contract
We are expanding and looking for skilled Carpet Installers or Installer Teams. This position is on a 1099 contractor base. You will complete installation jobs for Floor Coverings International of Southeast Knoxville using provided flooring materials.
You will be responsible for adhering to the industry standards and safety protocols while delivering high levels of customer service. You should also be able to clean the flooring area before and after work completion. Besides, you should smoothen and secure the flooring to ensure longevity.
A decent work experience in the Construction industry and an eye for detail are our requirements. Apply immediately if you can provide high-quality workmanship for both residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
Adhering to industry standards and safety protocolsDelivering high-quality workmanship and customer serviceCleaning the work area of any debris, dust before starting workLaying different types of carpets and patterns such as residential and commercial carpetsCarefully removing existing flooring including carpet before installing the new oneMeasuring and cutting flooring materials as per blueprintsUsing chalk lines and tapes to mark measurements and ensuring proper positioningAdvising clients on flooring maintenancePreparing the work surface by removing old hardware and applying adhesiveThoroughly inspecting the finished work to check for any imperfections or cracksDisconnecting and removing light fixtures or other appliances upon work completionUndertaking general maintenance dutiesUsing protective equipment while workingPlanning layout of different flooring projects in coordination with the design associateRectifying any flooring issues such as unleveled flooringSupervising other flooring assistantsRequirements
Knowledge about different types of carpet with focus on great seams!Familiarity with using hand tools like hammer, measuring tape, and power tools like an electric saw, drilling machine, etc.Excellent eye for detailDemonstrating excellent physical strengthStrong communication and analytical skillsGood mathematical skillsLicensed and InsuredThis franchise is independently owned and operated by a franchisee.
