DescriptionA Blake & Pendleton Service Technician provides maintenance/repair support for its customers. Blake & Pendleton customers operate in various industries, such as manufacturing, utility, forestry, mining, etc. The primary support is for Sullair compressed air equipment, along with other equipment designs. The Service Technician must have significant experience and a desire to enhance skills as equipment modifications evolve. Necessary safety training and certifications (e.g., OSHA, MHSA) are required.
Technicians have a fixed work schedule but may need to deviate based on customer requests and be on call according to a rotating schedule managed by the Service Manager. Physical requirements include frequently lifting over 50 lbs., occasionally exceeding 100 lbs., climbing ladders, carrying lubricants weighing 25-55 lbs., bending, and working after hours and in inclement weather.

Requirements Electrical Knowledge- Skilled in troubleshooting 120V control circuits.
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing single-phase and 3-phase motor control circuits up to 480V.
- Proficiency with multimeters, ampmeters, and infrared meters.
- Ability to perform tasks safely, adhering to company and customer safety standards.
- Ability to read P&I drawings.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing air compressor control components.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, cleaning, and setting controls.
- Setup rigging equipment and safely remove/reinstall motors and compressors.
- Perform motor alignments.
- Use hand and power tools safely.
- Understanding hydraulic and pneumatic principles.
- Knowledge of piping types and techniques like threading, sweating, brazing, and welding.
- Ability to bend and install control tubing (1/4" and 5/16" stainless steel).
EPA certifications with Freon experience are a plus.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance regularly.
- Assess trouble calls and repair machines.
- Start-up procedures for new machines.
- Communicate daily with the Service Coordinator.
- Submit timesheets and service tickets daily.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a clean service truck.
- Maintain physical fitness to perform job duties safely.
