Electrician​/Maintenance Technician

Position: Electrician / Maintenance Technician
ELECTRICIAN / MECHANICAL TECHNICIANGannett Publishing Services Knoxville, TN

We are offering up to $30 an hour based on experience
We are offering a sign on bonus of $500 based on background and work experience
Responsibilities:

* Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment breakdowns

* Use of analog, digital test equipment, and electrical tools

* Experience with networked I/O PLC networks; CAN bus, Interbus, Profibus, and Sercos rings.

* Servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of DC drives, FDS drives, and Servo drives

* PLC troubleshooting, repair, and replacement

* Perform preventative maintenance

* Knowledge of NEC and OSHA regulations

* Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Experience with the following helpful:

* Ability to perform minor power projects which include conduit and wiring installation

* Ability to understand complex electrical and pneumatic control diagrams

* Knowledge or ability to use machine shop equipment

* HVAC experience

* Familiarity with newspaper printing presses and mailroom processing equipment
Requirements:

* 3 years of Industrial electrical / maintenance

* Experience working with voltages of 600 volts or less and associated equipment

* Strong communication skills

* Experience using various Microsoft office applications

* Physical requirements include but are not limited to climbing and working from ladders and steps, working in some confined spaces, periodic moderate to heavy lifting as related to various jobs

* Work schedule is nights, weekends, and holidays

* The team will assist with training
