Job Overview
We are seeking a Sales Representative to work in the Knoxville, TN area. The successful candidate will lead safety, quality, and revenue generation across existing operations and new growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Increase revenue and margins through disciplined market management.
- Maintain favorable relationships with current customers.
- Identify and prospect new customers, capturing information in Salesforce.
- Resolve customer complaints as necessary.
- Analyze market trends and develop action plans to capitalize on shifts.
- Develop specific strategies to obtain new business.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product quality and availability.
- Assist in overseeing the sales process from pricing to contract preparation, forecasting, and credit/collections.
- Assess sales functions and potential on prospective acquisitions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of successful sales experience.
- Sales experience in aggregates, asphalt, construction, or related industry strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of the marketing area preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Business or Construction Management preferred. - Proven sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Capable of demonstrating product knowledge, market conditions, and competition.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Good organizational and time‑management skills.
- Occasional overnight travel required.
