Overview

Smoky Mountain Deck Builders is seeking a professional, outgoing, and highly organized Customer Relations Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients. This role is critical to our sales process and customer experience. The primary responsibility is to answer inbound phone calls and schedule qualified sales consultations for our sales designers. The ideal candidate is comfortable with technology, communicates clearly and confidently, understands the importance of accurate documentation and timely follow-up in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment, and is team-oriented.

Responsibilities
  • Answer all inbound phone calls in a professional, friendly, and knowledgeable manner
  • Qualify inbound leads and schedule sales consultations for sales designers
  • Ensure timely contact with all inbound leads across phone and digital channels
  • Accurately document all client interactions, notes, and outcomes within the CRM
  • Maintain clear, detailed notes and justify any lead disqualification to support transparency, reporting, and continuous improvement
  • Utilize CRM software and scheduling tools to manage appointments and lead flow
  • Work within Google Workspace, Excel, and similar platforms to support daily operations
  • Uphold all basic professional expectations, including punctuality, confidentiality, and consistent attendance
Qualifications
  • Must be willing to work in the office Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
  • Light, outgoing, and personable personality with strong customer service skills
  • High energy and enthusiasm when interacting with clients and team members
  • Well-spoken, professional, and highly organized
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a receptionist, administrator, or customer-facing role
  • Comfortable using technology, including CRMs and cloud-based software platforms
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to consistently get to and from work
  • Experience in and/or working knowledge of the contracting, construction, or outdoor living industry is a plus, but not required
  • Familiarity with CRMs such as Loop and Job Tread is a plus, but not required
Compensation

$17 - $19 hourly
