Sales Representative, Business Development, Sales Development Rep/SDR
Position Purpose
BCI Knoxville is looking for talented, passionate associates to join our Sales Trainee program. The Sales Trainee will be enrolled in a 12-18 month sales training program to prepare and equip the associate with the knowledge and skills in learning the corrugated packaging industry to become a part of our successful Account Executive team.
Responsibilities- Follow established safety rules, policies and procedures at all times
- Participate in a 12-18 month sales training program to prepare for a long-term position with BCI as an Account Executive
- Meet or exceed the operating standards in the areas of sales and customer service. Such standards will be set annually and communicated to the Account Executive
- Aim to meet or exceed the developed professional goals set to and agreed upon between yourself and the Sales Manager
- Participate in advancing the business through new and innovative ideas
- Review of the training program goals with the Sales Manager on a weekly basis to ensure the Sales Trainee is acquiring the skills necessary to become a successful Account Executive
- Exhibit professional behavior at all times and treat others with respect
- Full-time role in an office setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, listening, and verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated and results-orientated individual who can work well both independently and within a team environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, operating instructions, and training and procedure manuals
- Ability to write reports and correspondence
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, costs, proportions, percentages, and volume
- Strong attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in sales/marketing
- Two years outside selling or related experience – preferred, but not required
- Experience in the corrugated box industry – preferred, but not required
- Valid driver's license, safe driving record and reliable transportation
