As a Sales Manager, you will assist in all activities of hotel sales, support sales-related projects, and enter items into our sales systems. You will collaborate with the sales team to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction, embody our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy, and provide innovative ways that align with our mission to become the best, most respected hotel company in America.
Key responsibilities include promoting and engaging with clients, continuously exemplifying our culture, and meeting or exceeding company goals and metrics.
- Complete all required training
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures and brand standards
- Perform any other duties as requested by management to improve operations and service delivery
- Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate
- Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients seeking rooms, meeting space, and food & beverage services
- Initiate new sales prospects and qualified leads
- Host and entertain clients and maintain client accounts
- Conduct property site tours to promote hotel facilities and services
- Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts, and analyze lost business
- Develop sales plans and strategies to meet and exceed revenue and room‑night goals
- Partner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts
- Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch; lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
- Perform work for 8 hours in a restrictive space or environment
- Have eyesight enabling vision both near and far
- Be comfortable using a step stool or ladder
- Use arms continuously for up to 8 hours
- Handle heat and stress
- Possess finger dexterity for operating equipment
- Speak clearly and understand English
- Be able to write
- Maintain confidentiality of business functions, including financial status and customer/guest information
- Ensure safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel assets
- Know fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
- Be available for all scheduled shifts
- Communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person
- Work a flexible schedule; availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required
- Be organized, honest, and work well with others
- Maintain a clean, attractive work area and appearance
- Work effectively with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
