Pay range per hour is $20.50 – $34.85. Pay is based on several factors including labor markets, education, work experience and certifications.

About Service & Engagement

Advocate for guest experience by welcoming, thanking and exceeding guest service expectations. Advocate for both in‑store and digital services and solutions, ensuring exceptional quality while making shopping quick and easy for guests at the check‑lance, guest services, gift registry, pick‑up and drive‑up.

Leadership Development

As a Service and Engagement Team Leader, you will develop the skills of guest‑service fundamentals, problem‑solving, retail business fundamentals, and team leadership. You will also boost loyalty programs and cultivate a guest‑first team culture.

Typical Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and creating equitable experiences.
  • Lead a team of Guest Advocates, Service Advocates and Front of Store Attendants to exceed guest service expectations.
  • Execute best practices in onboarding, skill development, coaching and performance management.
  • Plan daily/weekly workload to support sales goals and troubleshoot opportunity areas.
  • Support Target Loyalty Programs and educate teams about benefits.
  • Maintain team training, continuous education and performance expectations.
  • Conduct meaningful development conversations and recognition to promote a positive culture.
  • Respond quickly to guest concerns and de‑escalate issues.
  • Keep the team updated on promotions, launches and events.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and build a guest‑centric team.
  • Work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, closing, overnight, holidays and weekends.
  • Enable efficient pick‑up and drive‑up orders, and support guest services and compliance with beverage laws.
  • Lead a culture of ethical conduct, compliance, safety and incident response.
  • Model safe security practices and merchandise protection strategies.
  • Handle all store emergency and compliance needs.
  • Perform all other duties as required by business needs.

Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
  • Lead and hold others accountable.
  • Operate handheld scanners, communication devices and other technology.
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently or with a team.
  • Maintain a welcoming and helpful attitude.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment.
Additional Expectations
  • Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
  • Interpret instructions, reports and information.
  • Handle cash register operations and oversee cash office processes as needed.
  • Lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds without assistance.
  • Climb up and down ladders as required.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule with reliable attendance.
  • Work in varying temperatures, humidity and other conditions.
  • Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
