Rogers Group is seeking a qualified QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN based in Knoxville, TN. The successful candidate will support East TN operations and conduct asphalt quality control testing, ensuring compliance with internal and external specifications, and supporting environmental and safety standards.

• Test materials to confirm quality and cost‐efficiency.
• Monitor production and certify test results for contract procurement or job completion.
• Maintain control charts and other required records.
• Utilize computer and data‑entry skills.
• Operate quality control lab equipment and conduct material testing.
• Apply knowledge of aggregate testing procedures (gradations, XRF/chemistry, crushed count, deleterious count, basic geology).
• Problem‑solve and demonstrate critical thinking.
• Lift 50 pounds continuously throughout the day.
• Perform basic mechanical/repair tasks.
• Use basic math and computing/technology skills.
• Adapt to a flexible schedule, including possible night and Saturday shifts.
• Communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
• Work independently without constant supervision.
• Operate testing equipment and company vehicles responsibly and safely.
• Maintain a clean lab environment through daily housekeeping.
• Pass pre‑employment drug screening.

• Experience in asphalt quality control.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Uncompromising emphasis on safety and quality.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment and data handling.
• Knowledge of aggregate testing procedures and environmental compliance.
• Ability to lift and handle equipment and materials as described.
