University Physicians' Association is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our UT Rheumatology team located on the UT Medical Center campus

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will prioritize patient care, demonstrate strong communication skills, and be comfortable giving instructions and writing orders. This role works closely with physicians to ensure a smooth and positive experience for patients.

What You'll Do

You’ll play a key role in supporting both patients and providers through responsibilities such as:

  • Assisting physicians with direct patient care
  • Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
  • Completing prior authorizations and pre-certifications for MRIs and CTs
  • Communicating test results clearly and professionally
  • Performing phlebotomy
  • Supporting a variety of clinical and administrative duties

In this role, you’ll build strong relationships with patients, families, and physicians—representing the practice with professionalism, compassion, and a positive attitude.

Requirements
  • Active LPN license or MA Certification required
  • Previous medical or clinical experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and effective time management
