Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry (Cardiac Specialty) unit with a TN or compact license, EKG testing, and every other weekend requirement.

• Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Specialty Telemetry Unit
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00–07:30)
• Patient ratio is typically 1:7-8; team nursing model may be used for higher ratios
• Float to similar units as required
• Every other weekend or two weekends a month required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Main responsibilities include monitoring cardiac telemetry patients and participating in the team nursing model as needed
• Orientation is provided bi-weekly
• Holiday RTO during major holidays or designated local breaks is not permitted but may be discussed after arrival using the RTO form
• Local candidates within 75 miles are eligible
• No on-call or additional call-in requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience
• Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
