Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain patient charts, including insurance, registration, correspondence, laboratory and radiology reports; track and request patient records, slides, and films; document as necessary.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments, scans, and tests; confirm appointments and notify appropriate departments in writing of daily and weekly patient schedules.
• Receive incoming calls to assist patients, physicians, and others with patient‑related matters; relay diagnostic test results to patients per physician’s discretion; conduct follow‑up phone calls to patients with problems and “no‑shows”.
• Room patients and record medical history prior to being seen by the physician.
• Maintain medical supplies in each exam room and office supplies in the clerical area.
• Handle pre‑certification and referral tasks (experience required).
• Communicate with home‑health and infusion clinics as needed.
• Perform blood draws.
• Note:
  
  providers see patients only about a half‑day per week; this position is primarily phone work, reviewing patient charts and verifying labs.

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• TN RN license required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR.
• Proficiency in scheduling, charting, and patient communication.
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to perform blood draws.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $35.00/hr.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN. This is a fully onsite position in Knoxville, TN.
