Knoxville, TN 37916 (East Tennessee) - Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/17/2025 – End: 2/16/2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1880-$2020
- Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
- Weekend Requirement:
Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month - Setting:
Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level II Trauma Center
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Previous travel nurse experience required
- Certifications:
BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS, NIHSS required; CPI, ENPC, TNCC preferred - Experience with Meditech EMR and Pyxis medication system preferred
- Ability to float within hospital and to other facilities in the Knoxville health system
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Certifications and RN licensure must be valid for at least 45 days after assignment start
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
- Perform triage, assessment, and interventions for patients with diagnoses including respiratory failure, sepsis, STEMI/NSTEMI, CVA/TIA, trauma, and overdose
- Administer emergency medications, blood products, and procedural sedation
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, ventilated patients, and neuro/ortho trauma cases
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services)
- Float to other units or facilities within the Knoxville healthcare system as needed
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in ongoing education and orientation
