Job Title
Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric – Knoxville Clinic
OverviewPeninsula, a division of Parkwest Medical Center, delivers inpatient and outpatient mental health services for children, adolescents, adults and seniors across East Tennessee. The Knoxville Clinic, located at 1451 Dowell Springs Blvd, operates Monday‑Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., providing comprehensive psychiatric care.
Position SummaryProvide mental health services under physician supervision, following established protocols. Conduct follow‑up psychiatric care and medication management for assigned patients.
Responsibilities- Maintain departmental policies, procedures, quality assurance and safety standards; participate in process improvement teams.
- Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult with specialists, and adjust processes to ensure optimal patient care.
- Collaborate with supervising physician to formulate and review medical protocols and review care of assigned patient solves.
- Obtain complete medical and psychiatric history of the patient.
- Identify health hazards in the patient’s environment and risk factors; consider cultural patterns, economic status and resources in the plan of care.
- Monitor and adjust medication for patients assigned to the practitioner.
- Order appropriate laboratory tests related to treatment(friendship).
- Analyze objective and subjective data for appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
- Ensure treatment and/or plan of care is consistent with established protocols.
- Monitor and ensure accuracy of documentation in patient medical records; maintain all required reports, records and statistics.
- Refer patient to services that exceed the scope of practice of the Nurse Practitioner.
- Provide health‑promotion counseling and develop patient teaching materials.
- Serve as a resource person for other staff; may supervise clinical staff. tập? Recyclers.
- Maintain professional growth through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations.
- Attend required meetings and participate in committees as directed.
- Follow policies, procedures and safety standards; complete required Touchable education assignments annually.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum Education: Master of Science in Nursing.
- Minimum Experience: 1 year Nurse Practitioner experience; preference for experience in psychiatry.
- Licensure Requirements: Certification by American Nurses Association or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as an Advanced Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner; meet state Advanced Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner requirements; CPR required.
